My namesake blog is the story of my life in New York and a document of my personal style. Since starting as a hobby in 2010, my site now has a readership of over 87,000 a month and has featured in publications including Grazia Magazine and style.com.  Having started my fashion career in London, a year's travel sparked a wanderlust which led me to Australia, where I discovered a country teetering on the brink of creative explosion. I now live in New York where I work in social and digital media for luxury fashion brands.  

Marianne I like pretty things and when people look at the camera in fashion blogs. After becoming a mom two+ years ago, my body and style started to change, and so, I am left...struggling. And trying on lots of styles that I wouldn't have touched before, because I don't know what works on my body any more. This leads to sometimes hilarious results, and sometimes surprise successes, all of which I am willing to document and post for your enjoyment. My personal style is undergoing a bit of a sea change at the moment. In the past I've leaned towards whimsy, loving anthropologie, Marc Jacobs, Nanette Lepore. However now I find myself wearing more black, grey, khaki. More structure. Since having a baby I can't abide by flowy dresses or tops because they remind me too much of maternity clothing. I would rather wear something structured even if my stomach is not exactly flat. I still love Marc Jacobs and anthropologie, I just like different styles. I would like to build a forever wardrobe of things I will still want to wear in 10 years. Pleased to meet you!

About J's Everyday Fashion Imagine a fashion magazine full of women just like us - moms, college students, professionals, in all shapes and sizes, on a budget and dressing for the challenges of everyday life. There would be no models, no Photoshop, no fancy backdrops, just real women talking real fashion.  I want that magazine to be a reality someday. For now, I bring you J's Everyday Fashion. Not a personal style blog, but the study of one girl's closet. How far can you make a small (couple hundred dollars a month) budget stretch? Do the trends and outfits we see in magazines really hold up in real life? I share it all with you here - the failed attempts, the experiments, the successes, what I wear to events in my own life, but also what I might wear if I were in your shoes (working in an office, being a mom, etc.). This website is all about empowering women - to give them fashion without the frills, that hopefully you can use and apply to your life in a very practical way. I'm a firm believer that evolving and changing your mind and following your dreams is the best way to live.  I currently go to an art school for Communication Design. The most important things in life, to me, are a safe and warm home, my pets, my friends and family and I dream about doing what makes me truly happy; helping other people. Hey! I'm Mandy and this is my blog (spoiler alert!). I'm wife to Scot (no typo, just the one T) and mama to Harper, the most charming toddler I've ever met.I started the Haps to document her life back when she was just a few months old in hopes that one day I'd have something to show her since the 3 baby books I own are sitting lonely with a few pages filled out (I'm either the laziest person alive or a hoarder - jury is still out on that one). Over time, people started finding us (the internet is crazy you guys!) and a few years later, here I am still sharing stories about the nugget plus all kinds of other adventures we have as a family of 3 brunettes - one a Gemini, one a Scorpio and one a Cancer.
