I buy vintage because I wear vintage. I decided a few years ago to share my treasures on eBay and etsy, including those pieces I made using vintage components like my bracelets and necklaces. I also love to blog about the vintage hunt and score, and show my fashion finds (or my fashion misses, I am not a model or a Parson's Design student). I also love to share great reviews and products that make me happy.

I'm an 18 year old from a small Chicago suburb, but I will be spending my next few years at school in Boston. I love vintage clothes, collect old cameras, and thrift way too much. I came to love vintage clothes at a very young age when I stumbled across some old photos of my great grandmother and aunt (Grace and Viola). Shortly after that, my mother's antique shop had a vintage fashion show, and ever since then I have been on the lookout for great vintage finds. I'm just a girl who hopes to travel the world, meet interesting people, and take in all that life has to offer. This blog is my personal space to write about my daily life, styles that I love, and everything else that falls in-between. I'm a writer, events manager and social media bod interested in fashion, both vintage (unsurprisingly) and streetwear (more unusually), as well as sports and healthy lifestyles. Always creative, and a lover of language, I started out as a traditional marketing copywriter, slowly moving from company to company to try and find that perfect role, always the most strangely dressed in the department (and in the creative sector, that's saying a lot). In the summer of 2009, I was made redundant and decided to strike out on my own, and I've been doing so ever since, living on my wits. Also quite a lot of marmite toast. And gin.

Well, I've gone and done it. I've started a blog. I think I just have too much to say than can be contained in my laughable ten minute limit on youtube. And youtube is probably where you met me. I am the creator of Lisa Freemont Street and no, my name isn't Lisa Freemont. It's Ashley. The channel name is actually a blend of two of my biggest inspirations: Grace Kelly and Vintage Las Vegas. For those of you who are fellow Hitchcock fans, you probably remember Grace's character in Rear Window-Lisa Fremont. Her grace and poise were beautifully portrayed in that film (along w/ the phenomenal Edith Head fashions she wore) but she also had a spunky, adventurous side that I loved. On the other hand, I also have a pension for glitz and kitch, so I had to throw a little 'Fremont Street' into the mix. Yes, I'm aware of the difference in spelling...but when you type in 'Freemont Street' on google, just WHO comes up? See? There's a method to my madness!

Welcome to "My Thrifted Closet." I am SheRea DelSol, but you can call me SheDel. I am a self-proclaimed thriftshionista (Thrift Fashionista.) I hail from the beautiful St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, but I currently live in Winston-Salem, NC where my love of thrifting began. My style has drastically changed since my high school days and most of the clothes in my closet have been replaced by thrifting in mostly Goodwill or MegaThrift (a thrift store indigenous to Winston Salem, North Carolina.) Thrifting has helped to develop my love of vintage clothes (especially the 80's) with their large shoulder pads and puffy sleeves. I also FULLY embrace bright colors and bold prints. For those of you who don't know, thrifting is the act of purchasing items from  stores that sell items that have been donated, with the proceeds from sales usually benefiting charitable efforts (eHow). Thrifting is more than just a hobby, quite frankly it is not. Thrifting is a lifestyle choice, a fashion movement. In that spirit, I have dedicated this blog and my fashion journey to thrifting. This is "My Thrifted Closet" and I hope you too discover the thriftshionista in you.
