This website has literally everything you need for every subject.

This is an interesting site that allows users to create their own stories, using different images and info from the web. A teacher could use this to create a video or story relevant to the topic being studied in the classroom. That way, the teacher would visually engage the students and know that they can relate to the characters or stories that he/she created, allowing for a more exciting and fun classroom environment.

Great instructional video for teachers and parents to understand the teenage brain. If you are planning on teaching middle and high school I strongly recommend it. If you have taken SECD 4140 you might've seen it already. For me, it was an eye opener. I was a teenager a long time ago and sometimes I feel like I don't really relate or understand certain behaviors. After watching this video I feel more compassionate towards teenagers! Check it out! The site provides links and information regarding many topics: teachign strategies, maintaining student-teacher relationships balance, working with students from diverse cultures, newsletter, discussions, publications, etc.

I have used voice thread in two classes here at UNCC and I absolutely love it! It is yet, another tool to use in the classroom that challenges students to be creative, learn technology and share their material with others. Perfect for live forums and discussions!

This is a neat website because it is a radio station in Zurich, Switzerland. Looking and listening to the things the website has to offer would be a cool way to allow kids to explore the culture and very unique accent of the swiss people. It's also good language and understanding practice of course.

This website allows the user to create their own comics. I think it would be really fun and definitely different to incorporate this tool into the classroom, perhaps by creating a comic in German and having students discuss it, or I can ask them questions about it. Or, they can create their own comic to show what they have learned. It's fun, creative and different.

A teacher's guide to using political cartoons in the classroom at all grade levels. This web site contains an excellent collection of polital cartoons organized by artists' names and by state. This is a great tool for teaching current events and can also be included in the Language Arts, Journalism, and Art curriculum.

NCTM is a website that is very helpful to teachers to meet others and constantly learn new ways of teaching. This is a resource that takes care of the big picture of education.

Council in which math teachers and students planning to teach math can join. This is the national council but there is a local one and that is the North Carolina Council of Math Teachers.

This website helps teachers improve their teaching through media and telecommunication. It has ideas for teaching across the subject areas, but I really love the Language part. My teacher from FLED4200 showed us a video made by this teacher who was teaching German 1 and it was amazing! Anyway, check it out!

What do you guys think? Should teachers sell their hard working lessons in order to furnish classrooms with books and whatnot and at the same time make a quick buck? Very controversial!

What a great website! I spent a good hour just looking at all the things on here. They have tips for us "new" teachers, ideas for lesson plans split up by subject and grade, articles from other teachers. if you have a bit of time check it out! it was really helpful to me
