As promised, I have attached the Requirement Sheet I use for my students to earn their Laser Cutter Skill Badge. My objective on the requirements sheet is to have the students familiar enough with the software and device that they can operate it independently. I was not interested in teaching them maintenance on the machine, or require them to build their own so by all means, feel free to modify the sheet to fit your needs.

"On request of the (starting) French FabLab community we have tentatively formulated the conditions for being able to use the label "Fab Lab" -- this is a Draft / RFC based on Communication from Sherry Lassiter, 15 April 2011. These key characteristics create an enabling environment that we call a fab lab. Provided that a lab effort is aligned with the below, they can and should use the logo for fund raising, promoting and advertising the fab lab and its activities. First and foremost, public access to the fab lab is essential. A fab lab is about democratizing access to the tools for personal expression and invention. So a fab lab must be open to the public for free or in-kind service/barter at least part of the time each week. Fab Labs support and subscribe to the fab lab charter: http://fab.cba.mit.edu/about/charter/ This charter should be published somewhere on the website and also in the fab lab. Fab Labs must share a common set of tools and processes. Collaboration FabLab Lille et le Labodemaths, atelier scientifique du collège de Wazemmes. Dans le cadre d'une participation avec la ville de Lille sur un projet d'échanges culturels entre Lille et Oujda , Maroc, le labodemaths a proposé un travail sur la décoration musulmane.

Concevoir et réaliser une alimentation stabilisée de laboratoire à sorties multiples déportées. Chaque sortie se trouve physiquement sur un poste de travail de la zone électronique de l'Electrolab. - concevoir un produit simple, robuste et flexible; - utiliser au maximum des composants et sous-ensembles de récupération; - réaliser un produit avec une réelle maîtrise des coûts.

Most computers in our Fab Lab run the Linux operating system (Ubuntu and Debian). We like to use Open Source Software alternatives whereever possible. But... we also think it is important to have easy-to-use, accessible software, even if it's not fully open.
