This article tells the readers about a new game app on the iPhone called "Life of George." This game involves building with lego blocks. I mean, I never would have thought twice about that rock sitting by the tree on my way to school, but now I'm starting to think that I should have. Every day, we encounter countless items that have become so normal for us. Now, the question remains, is this kind of more advanced technology always better? Sure, these hidden cameras can be used by law enforcement and such to do surveillance, but what about the possibility of this falling into the wrong hands. Despite the fact that this post was meant to be light-hearted and interesting, it also raises awareness about the risks of such technology. Studies are showing that a very small amount woman have or are working towards jobs in the field of computer science. A lot of time and effort is put into seeing how to get girls and woman interested into practises like computer science. Recent work shows that girls must be exposed to these subjects at a young age. A survey of over 600 girls in the Maritime Provinces reviled that girls who had participated in events consisting of science, engineering, or computers were almost 3 times more likely to choose a path in one of those studies. I believe that for girls there should be a larger focus on the sciences and technology so they would have a larger amount of careers to think about.

Many people, especially children my age are addicted to simple games that are frustratingly amusing which makes them even more determined to play it over and over and over again. For example, Flappy Bird. I see so many people investing x amount of precious time into it, just to get a pixelated bird through the most tubes as possible. This usually results in a) anger and humiliation for not getting pass at least 1 tube b) zero attention payed during important class lectures c) less study time and failing courses. However to at least stop more people from failure, neurologists are trying to develop another addictive game for people to play which secretly builds up your brain via subliminal messaging. By knowing the foundation of the addictive power of a game and manipulating it, researchers aim to keep people interested while subconsciously giving them a stronger and healthier brain. This is something that can be really amazing because the mass majority who wastes time on silly games like Flappy Bird might actually be receivers of benefit - gaining knowledge and useful skills without even realizing it.

Warner bros is apparently thinking about doing a minecraft movie. I love minecraft and it has a huge fanbase so I this it will be very successful because I find it is very much like the the lego movie which I find most people watched because they were curious as to how it would work out. I know thats why I watched it. Minecraft is very blocky and harder to work with. The only big thing I fear is that the lego movie was okay and is now started a trend of copycats and normally the copycats are never as good as the first one. But one thing i am really hoping for because minecraft has an older age group playing it the lego that the storyline will be a little bit better. But over all I would be very interested in seeing how this works out.

California passes a bill that allows children under 18 to delete any posts that they may regret in the future. Some people, such as James Steyer, agree with this idea and say that it is a way to put "privacy in the hands of kids, teenagers and the parents, not under the control of an anonymous tech company," however big social media networks who already lets everyone delete their posted items which make people complain about this new law. This also is a burden to some social media networks due to the problem of having to find the people who live in California. This relates to my tag because it is a bill passed by the government for children in social messaging systems, so it includes both politics and politics. My thoughts on this are the same as the people arguing against this, because there is no point in creating a bill only for people under 18 when almost all social media networks can do this for all ages. < SORRY SIR I FORGOT TO SHARE THIS TO THE GROUP LAST WEEK!!!!

I am sharing this article as my wildcard for week 4. I found this article to be interesting because it helps show what is possible with 3d printing. A man named Jim Smith 3D printed himself a kayak over 1000 hours of printing time. Although this technology is not the fastest it shows me what is possible with 3d printing. We now live in an age where we can 3d print whatever it is we want for a exceptionally low cost as compared to purchasing it. If I could afford it I would 3d print more items and I find it to be a very interesting piece of technology.

Lucasfilm and Disney have announced more info on the production of the new Star Wars Episode VII film which is set to release in theatres in 2015. They are set to begin shooting this May at Pinewood Studios in London. This movie will take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi which was the end of the original Star Wars trilogy. The original actors Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill may return to play their roles as Han Solo, Leia Organa, and Luke Skywalker. The last star wars movie which included these characters came out around 30 years ago, in which the older actors' aged look would come right into alignment with the movie's storyline. More announcements are sure to be made on May the 4th (known as Star Wars day). I find this very exciting because I was a huge star wars fan when I was younger, and it will be great to watch another movie that is part of a series that I watched as a kid.

But, the title of this article is a question, and the author did end up answering it. Yeah, the answer was obviously No. I could of figured that out in a few seconds. Instead, the author chose to elaborate on this in the most complicated way possible.

We all know that Steve Jobs' death was a big impact on the computing environment, but now another CEO has passed away. Robert W. Galvin the CEO of Motorola has passed away on Oct 11 2011. Since 1959( when Robert Galvin became chairman) he's been the head of the company until 1990. He made 11Billion Dollars in that year alone. He died at the age of 89. He will be missed.
