Don't Upgrade to the iPad 4 - 0 views

  •
The iPad 4 is already coming out. You know what that means.  Another Apple product to buy and add to your collection.  Apple completely ditched the iPad 3 because it used the old adapter.  The iPad 4 uses the lightning connector just like the iPhone 5. Therefore the iPad 4 is impractical to buy if you are an iPad or iPad 2 user.  However if you are just starting out with the iPad then feel free to buy the iPad 4.  The difference between the iPad "3" and the iPad 4 is that iPad is that iPad "3" uses the A5X processor and iPad 4 uses the A6X.  A6X is twice as fast as A5X but the A5X has longer battery life.  Who needs speed when you have battery? So is it smart to upgrade?

iPad 3 Release Date 2012: Right Time to Sell Your iPad 2 ? - International Business Times - 0 views

  •
It just seemed like yesterday that the iPad 2 was released but now it's been confirmed that the iPad 3, the newest edition of the iPad in technology, is in the process of creation and has officially released onto the market. The iPad 3 officially made it's first appearance on March 7th, when Apple introduced it's newest creation to the world at a media event in San Francisco. This notable information is relatable not only to our course, but also to society, and our world because it truly demonstrates how our world is constantly evolving and developing with new gadgets and technology being produced and used at our every use everyday. As consumers, we should also be aware that once the iPad 3 makes its way onto the market, the value our iPads and iPad 2s will significally drop, so it is advised that if you are interested in making a purchase and investment towards the iPad 3, to make a extra couple hundred dollars, try selling your older iPads while they are still valuable and worth an acceptable amount of money. Overall, tablets and iPads have definitely taken our world by storm as they have made a huge impact both economically and socially and Apple hopes to continue to make more and more designs and productions to further the success and effectiveness of their products.

Official: Apple iPad 3 event slated for March 7th in San Francisco | The Verge - 0 views

Well, I bet no one saw this one coming! /s  So yes, the new iPad will probably be announced on March 7. People are speculating that it will have double the screen resolution of the iPad and iPad 2 (which can be worrying because it brings more fragmentation into the app store), along with the Quad-Core A5X processor. It's also speculated that this may not have a Home Button, which I really hope does not happen.. Using those multitouch gestures to get back to the homescreen will be a pain in apps that actually use multitouch. It is also said that it will have 4G LTE, which is nice.
  •
Well, I'm guessing time is almost over for selling your iPad 2. March 7th the new iPad 3 is coming out. What makes this ipad much greater is that it has no regular display as the old ipad. It has a higher resolution than the ipad 1 and 2. Apparently it is much darker than the current ipads that are in stock. This is probably going to turn out to be the world's most popular tablet.
  •
Sir, are you going to go to this event? I bet he secretly will.. OFFICIALS SAY THAT THE IPAD THREE EVENT IS SAID FOR MARCH 7TH IN SAN FRANCISCO! The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in S.F at 10AM PST, on Wednesday March 7th, and it will be filmed covers live as it happens. The iPad three will have a higher resolution than the iPad 1 & 2. They say that the product picture looks darker than current iPad models. Many cannot wait till this product comes out. WELL I WAS JUST INFORMED THAT IT CAME OUT TODAY!

Why iPad Textbooks Are Still Too Expensive for Schools [INFOGRAPHIC] - 1 views

  •
This article describes the unfortunate unlikeliness of having iPad textbooks. It seems practical in this generation to have iPad textbooks, however there are still many aspects of this idea that need to be thought through. I think it will be more beneficial for students to carry one iPad as opposed to several textbooks, as well iPad would be more eco friendly because they would eliminate the need for printed textbooks. Nevertheless iPads can and often break and it would be much cheaper to replace a textbook as opposed to an iPad. Also,  I think that textbooks can easily out live an iPad especially if being used for long periods of time. I agree with this article that, at the moment, iPads would still be too expensive and impractical for today's use. However, I am certain that students in future generations will have the privilege to have iPad textbooks for educational use.
  •
It's actually pretty cool that ipads would actually be entering the schools. But the problem is the cost of the textbooks, and installing the textbook work in the ipad. Which costs a lot for the school boards, but also for the parents. Schools will end costing much more, and schools will be needing an ipad hardware on top of the textbook software. But the cost can be lowered if Apple can think of a way to lower the prices.

New iPad vs. iPad 2: Which is the Better Deal? | PCWorld - 0 views

  •
Whether you are thinking of getting the new Ipad or the Ipad 2, yo should do some little bit of research in the internet. In this article, there are lots of advantage and disaventage about the ipad2 and the New Ipad. The foremost argument for the new iPad is its gorgeous, high-resolution display. It's sharper and brighter, and offers more compelling color and detail than the display on the iPad 2. If you appreciate the difference in image quality between standard-definition and high-definition content, you'll want a new iPad.

Why iPad Textbooks Are Still Too Expensive for Schools [INFOGRAPHIC] - 0 views

Can you imagine that instead of using heavy and boring textbooks, we use IPADS IN SCHOOL!!  iPads are more interactive and can't be damaged as much as textbooks are. Though iPads won't be coming to our school anytime soon, there are many reasons why they should include iPads instead of textbooks. One, you're saving paper, and another is that instead of carrying heavy textbooks, you only carry one very thin and light iPad, this was known to help with your health.

Google's Nexus 10: It's Not An iPad, And That's A Good Thing - 0 views

  •
The new Nexus 10 is better than the iPad because it's lighter, it's thinner, it's easier to hold, and it has big loud speakers you can actually hear. The iPad feels precious and glass wants to shatter. The aluminum just wants to get scratched and dent. The Nexus 10 feels like it's built for working and playing. Its outer shell is made out of rubber so you can grip it. The edges are sloped so you can hold it in a variety of ways. The Nexus 10 has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 which is better than the iPads 2048 x 1536. The Nexus 10's wide screen is good for movies and is great for playing games because the speakers are on the front. The Nexus 10 supports multiple users on one tablet, the iPad doesn't. This is portable computing because the Nexus 10 has some many better things than the iPad and you get your money's worth if you do get the Nexus 10.

Secretly We All Want This Toilet-Paper-Holding iPad Stand - 0 views

  •
This is  just another way to hold our electronics when we are "occupied".  This toilet paper holding iPad  stand allows you to view things on your iPad while in the bathroom because the stand holds it. This makes you have your iPad with you at all times. A negative effect would be the stand breaking or falling and the iPad drops into the toilet but it's positive because it will do what it's supposed to do which is hold up your iPad when you are occupied. Although it doesn't make sense as to why you would want to bring something like a tablet to the bathroom, it is something to hold it up when you can't hold the tablet. This may seem efficient for some people but I think it would be more efficient for other use like putting it as a stand but without the toilet paper holder to hold the tablet, but there is no reason why you should bring a tablet of some sort into the bathroom. Some people would like this invention but personally, I find it unnecessary.

The ukulele's future is now with 'Futulele' iPhone, iPad app (video) -- Engadget - 0 views

  •
This article is for many of the Apple users who have both the iPad and the iPhone. There is an app called Touch DJ where you can use your iPad and iPhone. This app requires you to connect the both of them and can play the "Futulele" which is a virtual ukulele that you can play on your iPhone and iPad. The iPhone would be the frets of the ukulele and the iPad would be the body.

  •
this article is about the 6 things that that will make the iPad 3 more expensive then the iPad 2  and the other 2 things are just supplier issues.the six things that will make the iPad 3 more expensive is the double resolution,4g LTE radio,NFC technology -- which enables mobile payments -- probably wouldn't add much cost to the actual hardware, but Apple will have spent a lot of time and money getting partners and integrating it with iTunes, faster processer, better camera, better battery life,

Apple reported to be investigating iPad Wi-Fi issues - latimes.com - 0 views

  •
This article explains that Apple's newest piece of technology, the iPad 3, has caught their attention, but not for the right or wanted reasons. Apple's iPad 3 has had WiFi issues with plenty of complaints from a number of consumers bringing their thoughts to the company's attention. Weak Wi-Fi seems to almost be a standard part of an iPad launch. Both previous generations had difficulty with WiFi just out of the gate, with users complaining of weak reception and problems connecting to a network. The fact that this is not new for Apple is reassuring and some what comfortable for them because they have been in this situation before and they know the solution to their problem. Although Apple may know what to do and they aren't too concerned, this has to be a issue that Apple has to bring up and deal with in the future to avoid any complaining or angry impressed consumers about the issues that people are facing with newly developed Apple products.

Apple Faces Possible $38 Million Fine for Using the Term 'iPad' in China - 1 views

  •
Apples getting sued for 38 mill from a Taiwanese company Proview for stealing their "iPad" idea and claims that the iPad was originally their idea. I still think that Apple is a good company but they could at least give Proview credit or at least some of the profit that the Ipad made since 2010

Windows 8 vs. iPad: feature by feature | The Verge - 0 views

  •
Microsoft's Window 8 Consumer Preview now gives everyone a chance to experience the company's most biggest change in user interference since Windows 95. It is now a mouse-centric desktop to a touch-friendly, high visual Metro style UI. There are also many more great changes. Window's challenge is the iPad. They share a few similarities. Many people don't like iPad because it doesn't have flash or LTE. Though others like sir love the iPad and will forever.

Disney's iPad-Friendly Toys Give Playtime A Digital Boost [VIDEO] - 0 views

  •
Disney announced a new toy line that makes the iPad an interactive play mat. The new toy is called Disney Appmates, it interacts with a free app that brings it to life. Pixar's Cars are the first toys able to interact with this app. Each car includes a capacitive sensor. When it is placed on the iPad the screen adjusts to the position of the car, so it can interact with the character. With this app you'll be able to explore, compete in races and complete missions. What's great about the new toys: the toys aren't designed to scratch the screen and the toys are lightweight. With this app it has been proven that on April 2010 the iPad is now popular with kids as it is with adults.

Microsoft launches Surface tablet with keyboard cover | ZDNet - 0 views

  •
This article talks about a new tablet line from Microsoft called "Surface". It is supposed to go with the new Windows 8 operating system which is supposed to be a more touch and mobile friendly system. At an event in LA Steve Ballmer showed 2 versions of Surface.  One is running Windows 8 Pro the other Windows RT. Each tablet comes with a stand and magnetically attachable covers to allow the tablet to be like a laptop. The type cover has a keyboard and trackpad, while the touch cover is a thinner keyboard cover that comes in many colours and has an accelerometer to let the system know when it's folded to deactivate the keyboard. Both have a 10.6-inch display. The RT version is 9.3mm thick and weights 673g while the Windows 8 Pro is 13.55mm thick and weighs 903g. Only the RT comes with productivity software like Office Home and Student pre-loaded. This release ties in with portable computing because it is an all new portable tablet that is from Microsoft. It also ties in with their new operating system that goes hand in hand with this tablet. It is something with a new innovative style and can be used in various ways as a laptop or tablet. It also ties in with economics and the whole Apple vs. Microsoft competition. Microsoft has created an "even better" version of the iPad. Now instead of going for the iPad people that like PC's and working with them can make the choice to use the Surface tablet which once again puts Microsoft and Apple in competition with one another for sales. All in all this is a great new tablet and I think it is great for all those Windows users that can get their hands on a new tablet from Microsoft.  It will be interesting to see if this new technology will blow up compared to the iPad and now the iPad Mini.

The best apps for iPads and Android tablet devices - iPhone app article - Bra... - 0 views

  •
This article names and describes four of the best and most popular apps to download for your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and any other Android tablet device. This is useful to many people's lives, including my own, because when I first get a new handheld device, the first thing that people want to know is the best and most useful apps to download and what better way to inform people of popular apps then by reading this article. This is also important economically because people don't want to waste time and more importantly money by trying out apps that aren't really good nor useful to them. This will get their Android or iPad experience off to a bad start and this is not what Apple as a company wants their consumers to think so negatively about their products. This way, by reading this page, society and myself can identify what may be of interest to us varying from Netflix all the way to a cool racing game. A variety of possibilities of apps are available but the next step is to identify what are the best and most significant apps that will be of use to each individual when the intended time is ready for use.
