On August 15, PM Modi announced, to the world's surprise and, ironically, to ISRO's surprise, that India would send humans to space by 2022. The announcement sent the space agency scuttling to make requisite arrangements. However, the crucial question of why ISRO wasn't consulted still looms large.

केंद्र सरकार और पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी के बीच चल रही तनातनी खत्म होने का नाम नहीं ले रही है।बुधवार को केंद्र सरकार ने 'एक देश, एक चुनाव' मुद्दे पर सर्वदलीय बैठक बुलाई है।इसके लिए भेजे गए निमंत्रण के जवाब में ममता बनर्जी ने संसदीय कार्य मंत्री प्रह्लाद जोशी को पत्र लिखकर इस मामले पर श्वेत पत्र तैयार करने को कहा है।साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि वो इस बैठक में भाग नहीं लेंगी।
