AAP-led government in Delhi issued orders to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) while handing over the file of Common Wealth Game (CWG) scandal on Thursday. The force and pressure of oppositions along with others compelled the Delhi government to order probing into the CWG case and filing FIR against former chief minister of Delhi Mrs. Sheila Dikshit via anti-corruption bureau.

A 23-year-old law student mustered enough courage to speak against powerful BJP leader Chinmayanand, who allegedly sexually harassed her for months. After days of dilly-dallying, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) finally arrested him but charged him with less-stricter provisions, naturally upsetting the student. Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram suffered a series of setbacks, on Monday. Firstly, the Supreme Court refused to take up a plea, filed by him seeking protection from arrest in a probe related to INX Media case. The bench termed his plea "infructuous" (meaning unnecessary) as he has already been arrested by CBI. Secondly, his petition challenging his CBI custody wasn't listed for the hearing, either.

P Chidambaram, former Finance Minister and one of the tallest leaders of Congress, was arrested by CBI on Wednesday in full media glare. Interestingly, the 73-year-old was taken away by the probing agency to the same building whose inauguration he attended in 2011 when he was the Home Minister in UPA-II. Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was the guest of honor back then.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to senior Congress leader P Chidambaram in the INX Media case. On Thursday, the top court had reserved its order on the 74-year-old leader's bail plea in the case. Chidambaram is being probed on allegations of money laundering by the Enforcement Directorate.

After months, the Supreme Court has scolded the chief minister of the state 'Akhilesh Yadav' condemning his 'no action' stance when Muzaffarnagar was burning in the flames of outrageous communal riots. Around 60 innocents' life was offered to the fire of riots the previous year.
