The slap of nature in the form of rumbling hailstorm left the farmers of Maharashtra sobbing, weeping and grief-stricken. The uncertain hailstorm hit Maharashtra's 28 districts causing destruction to Rabi crop sown in 11 lakh hectares. The crop is estimated to be worth Rs. 5,000 crore as referred to the information availed by the State agricultural department. The worst effect of it is seen in most parts of Marathwada, Western Maharashtra, North Maharashtra and Vidarbha.

Delhiites woke up to a cloudy morning today as the minimum temperature was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius with the possibility of a hailstorm at isolated pockets of the city, the Meteorological (MeT) Department said.
