Owing to a change in wind direction, Delhi's air quality remained poor for the second day in a row. According to officials, the overall air quality index (AQI) in Delhi at 10am was found to be 245, which falls in the poor category. Meanwhile, Ghaziabad and Gurugram recorded even worse air quality.

An intoxicated man allegedly urinated on the seat of a woman passenger onboard an Air India international flight, prompting the Civil Aviation Ministry to seek a report from Air India. The incident took place on August 30 when Air India flight AI 102 was on its way to New Delhi from New York.
