Amid foggy condition in Delhi, the flight schedule is badly affected at the Indira Gandhi International airport today. Most of the flights are seen still on Monday due to low visibility that was caused due to dense fog. More than 50 domestic as well as international flights have been disrupted.

The blow of chilly winter claimed 11 lives till the date today causing chaos in the US while more than 4,200 international flights to Canada and domestic flights as well were ordered to be halted amid freezing temperatures and poor visibility.

Himachal Pradesh is reeling under intense cold following a fresh spell of snowfall with temperatures in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district hitting nearly -10 degree Celsius, the Meteorological Department said. The mercury in Kinnaur district and Manali has also dropped below the freezing point.

The biting winter sweeping across North India has reportedly claimed the lives of 28 in Uttar Pradesh. Several regions of Himachal Pradesh shivered in sub-zero temperatures as dense fog consumed many northern states. On Saturday morning, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 2.4°C.
