    The Supreme Court delivered its judgment on the ban of firecrackers across the nation and said a countrywide ban is not feasible. A bench of Justices AK Sikri and Ashok Bhushan reserved the order on August 28 after hearing arguments of petitioners, firecrackers manufacturers, the Centre, and CPCB.

    Giving the judgment on Aadhaar, the SC struck down some provisions relating to authentication of the program, and the Section 57 of Aadhaar Act. Three out of five judges upheld the legality of the program and about its constitutional validity. Justice Sikri said it's better to be unique than best.
