CDC website concentrates really useful information about health issues in different parts of the world (including my country, Peru). I've read it and found it accurate and useful for people who want to travel internationally.There are also Podcasts with great listening material.

Students will define the concept of human rights and human rights violations. Students will examine and evaluate the state of human rights in China and the United States.

Beautiful site to study Human rights. It offersvideos to watxh and discuss, games, cartoon and a lot more funny and reflective excersises. Videos are really simple and appropiate for discussion.

This site contains FLASH animated libraries of the phonetic sounds of Spanish and English. Available for each consonant and vowel is an animated articulatory diagram, a step-by-step description, and video-audio of the sound spoken in context. It is intended for students of phonetics, linguistics, and foreign language.

This site have a lot of interactive games where students can enjoy different topics and practice what they need to practice, there you can also find idioms to apply some real vocabulary in your classes and their earning process.

This page provides a lot of activities you can use in the classroom to teach the importance of having a job in this world and the value every occupation has. There you can find occupations described by pictures and small sentences to help students understand in a simple way. Also students mainly children have the opportunity to create different towns and fire trucks buy using boxes and their creativity.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization dedicated to building houses for the most needed.  It is present in 17 countries in Latin America and the caribbean.  Most of the houses are built by volunteers and families that have been benefited with houses.  This webapage can be used to present the topic of Human rights, solidarity, and how every person has the right to live in their own home.  It can also foster volunteer work in the community by contacting a local office in your country.

We have plenty to read in the field of education, however, reading for pleasure has lots of benefits for non-native speakers teachers and students. This is my favorite website to find all sorts of books to read for free!

I came across Advocates for Youth in college while working with a sub-group of the Bus Project. It has proven to be an invaluable resource when helping students research current events. They are able to learn about the issues and see what their peers are doing about them.

This is a very interesting website. There are reflecting videos that talk about human rights. In this website, you can also know about the non-governmental, intergovernmental, governmental and human rights commision worldwide with individual websites.

I have a cousin who contributes to this group and I often recommend articles to other teachers from the site. I find that it can help teachers who have gotten stuck in a rut to break out of it. Most of the perspective are a bit liberal for Salem, OR but they still help colleagues look at issues in a new way.

A Channel to improve listening skills

Excellent reccomendation I really enjoy discovering real world related listening activities for the students because tney can be able to understand language in original contexts. This is an innovation because I just use videos about news or alike but the work done by a colleague eases our teaching.

It is a good website to test students' grammar, also could be an extra practices for students. When I tutor students, I use this tools to be a grammar practice. We teach the grammar rules first, but students sometimes are confused the rules. If we give students extra practices, they will figure out the rules and be much more familiar with it.

A web site with plenty of resources for teaching English to kids. Ready made worksheets, games, reading, activities, and so on. Children learn English by playing and in an very interactive way. The games are great fun!!! Yrma Garcia
