The Royal Botanic Gardens - 1 views

  •
Combining an excursion to the Art Gallery of NSW with a visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens is a fantastic way to satisfy a number of learning outcomes from several KLAs and provide students with a thorough and quality learning experience. The Royal Botanic Gardens offer students an opportunity to increase their understanding and appreciation of plants and the environment through concrete learning experiences. Lesson offered at the Royal Botanic Gardens are given by qualified Trust staff and have been aligned with the NSW Board of Studies syllabus. Teachers can choose a lesson at the Royal Botanic Gardens to complement the activities their students engaged in at the Art Gallery of NSW. For example, the 'Aboriginal People and Plants' lesson would fit nicely with previous exploration and interpretation of Aboriginal artworks at the Art Gallery of NSW.
