WAVE is a free web accessibility evaluation tool provided by WebAIM. It is used to aid humans in the web accessibility evaluation process. Rather than providing a complex technical report, WAVE shows the original web page with embedded icons and indicators that reveal the accessibility of that page.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have announced the Next Generation Learning Challenges initiative. This multi-year project aims to help improve both college readiness and college completion in the U.S. through the use of technology. Administered through the nonprofit EDUCAUSE, the program will provide grants to organization that will help develop technology tools to more teachers, students, and schools.

A very cool site. Google has an app for the Android called the Google Sky Map. It uses the GPS function to draw constellations etc. that appear above you. It is also very nice.

Interesting article in the NY Times about online language learning resources. Some are free. Some include online communities that use VoIP to allow learners to converse with native speakers.
