A beautifully presented mindmap which outlines strategies to build a community in your classroom through digital narrative. A+ for style and A+ for content.
The DET's curriculum support site for ICT in the English classroom. Not necessarily the best place to start, but some interesting questions are answered such as "How can I use iMovie in the classroom?", and "How can I use the internet to encourage reading?".
Fairly extensive list of tools for the smartboard. There are lots of links like this around, but this one is organised in a particularly intuitive way.
Enter some spelling words into a simple form and this online resource will produce an interactive quiz for your students. It will actually say the words out loud for them and even put the words in a sentence. You can also turn your spelling list into several different kinds of activities (crosswords, find a words, fill-in-the-blank) with just the click of a button.
Jing is a free resource for screen capture, whether it be static or dynamic. Give your students a guided video tutorial on how to set up their wiki, log onto moodle, or even write an essay.
Ever wanted your students to brainstorm online? Bubbl.us is a free tool that will help your students (or you!) create mindmaps and share them with others in a range of different media.

Wanted to give this DER page its own listing. There are specific examples of digitally-based English assessments you can implement for your students, including rubrics.
