Call me a science geek but I think this is just too cool. With the advent of newer, more advanced technologies, Astronomers are running into an unusual problem--too much data to go through themselves.Their solutions has been to put it up online and let people (amateur, everyday people) help them out. I think it connects well to Shirky and Remix. Sure puts a whole new spin on "social science".

The question of documents dying is a topic discussed in Ambient Findability. Documents can be viewed in print and online. This is an interesting article about how an office might go about being paperless. It is a complex idea because offices are known to be full of papers and documents. However, this may be a more "green" option but harder to adopt.

This is an interesting overview of the Norton Online Living Report. It touches on a lot of things we have discussed in class.

Something very interesting about this 'report' is that I cannot get to the actual report. Makes me wonder. Each link I find to the report gives me a problem loading. I would really like to see what this report says!

Our book talked a lot about Wikipedia and the process of errors encouraging more people to edit. I thought it was kind of funny to see the biggest mess ups Wikipedia has had.

This is also an example of what we were talking about yesterday. We can write the biography of anyone in an online encyclopedia where most people go for references..talk about power.

Due to the ease of online group unification, die-hard Jericho fans were able to get their show back!

A study on the relationship between ADHD and internet addiction

Some of the authors we read this semester drew from work by Norbert Wiener, the founder of cybernetics. Although rhetorical studies was not Wiener's field, his writing has had a profound affect on modern technological language.
