Repeating in writing is not a good nor effective idea. Repetition in designs always the best way to design.

This is an interesting video about immediacy in social media. The woman gives a great definition of hypermediacy and immediacy.

History of smartwatches. Timeline detailing the early stages of computing in watches, and the evolution of the pieces today. 

In Chapter one of the text, the topic of raster versus vector images is touched upon. I chose this website because it dives a little further into the topic of which type of image you should use. This site is helpful because it is very clear that you should use vector images for logos and illustrations and raster images should be used for digital graphics and digital photography. Knowing when to use each type of imaging is critical when beginning a project.

Cray Supercomputer

This is a cool little article that talks about texture in design and how it is used. I thought it was helpful to continue to build knowledge on how to use texture since too much is not a good thing.

I liked this site because it went into some detail about texture and gave some realistic familiar examples like Apple icons.

This website displays 50 great examples of websites that use abstract designs on their pages. These pages are great inspiration for any designer interested in utilizing abstract designs. Abstract designs are unique and memorable making them perfect for web pages.

I really like this resource because it goes beyond the what abstract is, might, or can be and delves into the actual processes involved in various abstract works. It provides a different angle to the topic. (Week 9, 11/30)

Every week it never fails, any site with more visual examples of the design element is the easiest and sometimes quickest way for to fully grasp the concept of it.

Ways and methods to create a focal point

There are few Ways to Create a Focal Point: by Contrast, Isolation , Placement. this article gives example of each

CONTRAST- one way to see if you have effectively used contrast is to create the design in a grey scale and see if the design still looks easy to read.

I really like this source because it shows examples of bad contrast beside examples of good contrast, with explanations. It is short and to the point.
