Cameron i agree i liked how This website gives you knowledge on a wide spectrum i enjoyed quite a few of the tabs i agreed with and thought that we should make so many of these things laws which can be punishable if they are ignored. This article is about the sustainability need in the food waste area. This article explain that we should recycle our food by composting and also explain two types of ways to compost.

To achieve a sustainable society then food waste must be recycled as opposed to being sent to landfill sites around the country. We all know the problems that our planet is suffering through global warming that is partly aided by the greenhouse gasses that are produced when food waste is sent to landfill and the ensuing fluctuations in temperature that is suffered around the globe.

While reading this article I have realized many companies have been going the Eco- friendly route. On the way to work I saw the VA hospital have solar panels on the overheads in the parking lot. I also see a lot of churches installing solar panels.

I love the comments made in this article. I agree with the author when she states that people have to look at the solar panels as part of the system on the building and not as something added on.

We use energy for everything. We use energy to treat our water , grow our food, produces and to go to place to place. In general we want our community to develop more diverse, reliable, and cleaner sources of energy; to reduce energy usage; and to improve efficiency.

I tried to see what was important on this article but it wasn't very easy for me personally to grasp. I see that you 3 did find the point of the sustainability with electricity. I find it funny that we are always leaving lights on when we leave a room and think nothing of it until we are told it will save us money or that we are wasting something we really take for granted.

I know we do not live in California, but when I came across this site I noticed that they have a section on compost. If our leftovers can't find a home,the compost is the way to go. Could be the easiest way to make use of our waste

It also talks about how researchers are exploring different ways to produce cleaner more efficient ways to produce better energy sources instead of relying on fossil fuel.

This is also gives a sneak peek into what technology that they plan to improve on and introduce hopefully within the near future.

A wonderful page that tries to make everyone be aware on how much food they waste but the most important a few ways in how to prevented. One way that i really liked was putting leftovers in visible parts of the fridge like in the front or the door.

I thought this article was an excellent 10min reading, it brings out many facts the American Waste Land also brought up in the book. It also mention different authors and reachers that would be good to look on top of Jonathan Bloom as he as wall is brought up in this article.

This article talks about a program that K-12th grade schools can implement through out their school. It gives examples on how this program has already been implemented and changed in schools. It also talks about how the program can be implemented in a school. This program is a great way to teach children and staff different ways to create a sustainable school.

I think that is pretty cool that they have the kids get involoved as well, because like you said it is a great way to teach kids about sustainability and maybe some could even educate their parents. "However, most school districts don't have an award-winning nonprofit to implement a comprehensive Zero Waste program for them." (Schumper & Dietz). This comment made me think, are Zero Waste programs very exspensive if it is not through a non-profit group, and is that why other schoos do not implement this?

This is a very informative website. It explains what sustainability is, and what is being done to preserve it. Also, it explains what we can do to help.

This is great article to grasp what exactly sustainability is. I like how it really goes it to depth about what exactly it is instead of just giving a general defining statement, it helps with the comprehension of what it really means. It also shows what can be done to help this also helped with the comprehension because it gave examples so also an opportunity to reflect as well.

There are consequences to food waste including environmental, economical, and cultural. The ways to stop this waste are simple sticking to shopping lists, saving leftovers, and composting or donating what you don't want. People are becoming more involved with what they can do to stop this waste, but are they to late?

I thought that this article was very interesting because it relates to the 10 myths as well. The article is about when bigger countries, such as the U.S. and Europe who decided to move to sustainable growing techniques. The one thing wrong wtih sustainable growing is that we have less to export to poorer countries in need of low cost mass produced foods.

This article explains a group of people that take food from stores that is getting thrown away and hand it out to the hunger.
