The results were 334 pounds of uneaten food per day. Often times children aren't allowed to take uneaten food out of the cafeteria because it falls into liability and health issues for the school districts then. Chicago schools districts is trying to come up with a way to not have as much food waste but not have liability and health issues on their hands.
