Since the choice to abort is one of the biggest reasons why people want to defund planned parenthood it is being looked at as more of a moral decision. The way democrats and republicans feel on this topic is completely different therefore has been making it harder to make the decision on it. Defunding planned parenthood for this reason would basically be taking away a women's right to choose.

Statistics in this article show that women who used birth control were easily able to finish school, find jobs, and create a steady life before having children. Defunding this organization would cost America more money in the bigger scheme of things.
