NSA's Spying On Metadata Violates Our Freedom of Association - 2 views

  •
Is it important to us that our government looks at our Metadata? The government work's hard to Prove that our privacy is safe however they take liberties when it comes to private Phone Communications. The information they gather is much larger then we think.
  •
If they "need" to look at our metadata it makes me wonder what they're doing with all our information.
  •
In this day and age this is to be expected, the government is all about control, and when it comes to phone calls or even the internet they will do their best to control these places. Not siding with the government Im just stating their poor reasonings for doing this.

When reading this article you will see a few myths and facts that will awaken you to the truth that many thought in 2008 about immigration. This will be a great resource to use when and if you compare the impact that immigrates leave on the United States.

Bernie Sanders Struggles to 'Champion Women' like Hillary Clinton - 0 views

  •
This article speaks of Sander's reference to Planned Parenthood as "establishment". Some were angry with this comparison, because the article states that this kind of association correlates corruption to the organization. But in all honesty, is anything corruption free? Do the benefits of Planned Parenthood outweigh the negatives? As of right now, it appears the benefits outweigh the negatives tenfold.

What Is More Important: Our Privacy or National Security? - 1 views

  •
There have been pushes to ban encrypted services online in order to try and prevent terrorists from secretly using such services to communicate. This article discusses three major points that we need to consider when discussing this issue; terrorists aren't using things like PS4's to communicate, despite what the rumors claim. When we apply back-doors to our encrypted services, we weaken them to attack. We need to think about this as Privacy vs security, not security vs security.
  •

What some or all may not know is that Planned Parenthood has filed a federal lawsuit stating that it was an act of "illegal secret recording and trespassing, mail fraud, and invasion of privacy". Although many may argue that Daleiden was only exercising our first Amendment right.

Connecticut's gun law linked to large homicide drop - CNN.com - 0 views

  •
In 1995, a permit-to-purchase handgun law went into effect in Connecticut, stating that people who want to buy a gun must apply for a license (or permit) with the local police, a process that involves a background check, as well as complete at least eight hours of gun safety training. Since this law, homicide has seen a reduction in that area but there is still more that needs to be done.

Gun control in the United States - Springer - 1 views

  •
In this article it argues that a more strict gun control will not reduce crime. The NRA (National Rifle Association) said that gun owners are sports enthusiasts and not criminals. This article also points out that since the 1960's the government have been debating on the issue of gun control but nothing has changed. Neither side (Democratic and Conservative) are listening to each other, they are counteracting and arguing but not listening to each others beliefs on this issue, which is a main reason why this debate has been going on for so long.

Should America Adopt the Gun Controls of Other Democracies? - 1 views

  •
Author D B Kopel argues that gun control in countries like Great Britain, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, New Zealand, Canada, and Jamaica is not the reason for their low crime rate. In fact he states that their gun control law is the cause for more burglaries and that gun registration has been proven in these countries to be valueless in solving or preventing crimes.

A Case to Defund Planned Parenthood - 0 views

  •
Many people see planned parenthood as an organization that has been taking money from the government to fund abortions among many other issues. It's thought that this shouldn't be the case because there are so many other health care services in the states that provide the same services as well as many more services too. The break down of some of the expenses show why continuing to fund planned parenthood would not be the best solution for the tax payers money.
