The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and its Senate companion, the Protect IP Act (PIPA). Shows a great video and talks alot about SOPA and PIPA laws. This article looks at the gun control laws in other countries and the reasons why they developed those laws. IN 2012 the death of 20 children at a school in Newtown Connecticut caused an upraise in the debate on whether we should have a more strict gun control law or not. President Obama tried getting semi-automatics and military style weapons banned and having a more strict background check was defeated in the senate in 2013. Since the mass shootings in 2015 Obama is trying to rekindle the bill.

In April, the Senate rejected the Toomey-Manchin gun control proposal. In the wake of its defeat many wonder why give this a chance to be passed. Trying to make every gun legal to buy wont be easy to do. Creating the right to purchase a firearm no short cuts. Make it difficult for people who do not have license to sell them on the streets.

President Obama signed legislation into law on Tuesday evening reinstating key counterterrorism laws and reforming the government's surveillance powers. The announcement from the White House that Obama had signed the USA Freedom Act came a few hours after the bill sailed through the Senate 67-32, following a protracted debate that lasted for weeks and forced some of the provisions to expire for nearly two days.

The Wisconsin state Assembly has passed a bill that would take $3.5 million a year in federal grant money away from Planned Parenthood. The Republican-controlled Assembly passed the measure 60-35 Thursday with no Democratic support. It now heads to the Senate. Gov. Scott Walker has said he supports it.
