Many teachers now encourage their students to supplement their classroom experience with online resources. A rapidly increasing fraction of high school teachers are even letting students use their own mobile devices as powerful research tools right in the classroom. Hundreds of millions of views confirm that kids can and will voluntarily visit sites such as Khan Academy when they provide learning opportunities that the students missed, for whatever reason, in their previous classroom experience. I will leave you with one last thought: Just imagine the potential when the intelligence, creativity, empathy, and passion of teachers are combined with the power of e-learning technologies. The results will undoubtedly be synergistic, and will take learning to a whole new level that most of us can hardly even imagine. What are the possible ways that teachers may collaborate with the droids in the future? We should seek out the visionaries who can imagine this. They will pave the way to a bright future

I am preparing a presentation on the future of e-learning for HE education. Any suggestions on best technologies? What do you think will be here in 5 years and has a good pedagogical basis? A polticial question - does everyone wish that others have an improved learning experience? Education is an economic, job unemployment, citizen compliance, conformance, etc. issue. Having left my soapbox of babble - I would like to see a visual, immersive board that is haptic and responsive to my learning whims. My learning world will change as I touch a topic, reference, picture, sound, etc - that may all be related or not.I would like to become a hologram sitting in a virtual environment listening and seeing Homer with discussions going on with many others who debate him on his philosophy as it pertains to us today. Dreaming is OK with me.
