وأكدأحد الطيارين المعتصمين أن وجه الإعتراض على ” عاشور” يعود إلى كونه الطيار الخاص بالرئيس المخلوع حسنى مبارك كما أنه ذات علاقة بالحزب الوطنى المنحل ,و تمت إقالته مسبقا من رئاسة شركة مصر للطيران إثر احتجاجات نظمت ضده , فضلا عن فرضه من جانب” حسين مسعود” الوزير السابق وبتوصية من الفريق “احمد شفيق” ليتولى سلطة الطيران المدنى , وهو المسئول عن صفقة طائرات البوبنج .
