  • هناك معلمين متعاقدين لا يتعدى راتبهم 105 جنيهات، وهناك معلمو المكافأة الذين يحصلون على 30 جنيهًا شهرياً، كما أن المعلمين المعينين على الدرجة الثالثة التخصصية راتبهم لا يتعدي 580 جنيهًا، ومدير المدرسة لا يتخطى راتبه 2000 جنيه قبل المعاش بقليل، و هو ما يعني أن المعلمين كلهم دائما يتقاضون رواتب أقل من عامل بأى وزارة أخرى
  • دخل المعلم المتدني هو العائق الأول الذى يوجه المجتمع نحو الدروس الخصوصية وأن زيادة راتب المعلم سيوفر مليارات سنويا.ً

  • On Thursday of last week the minister of labour was in marathon negotiations with textile workers’ leaders representing 22,000 workers at the giant mill in Mahalla al-Kubra. The minister bargained desperately—narrowly avoiding a strike that would have brought out most of the textile sector
