This is an update to Bloom's revised taxonomy to account for the new behaviours emerging as technology advances and becomes more ubiquitous. This book is aimed at teenagers, but could be used by teachers to start class or individual discussions about life issues. Book focuses and provides great tips to revise and prepare for examinations. Accessible, colourful infographics throughout make content digestible.

The revised COPPA act went into effect on July 1, 2013. Take time to read up on and know this act.

40 pages of examples of how the revised Bloom's Taxonomy applies to a variety of digital applications - Drawing 3 on page 5 is particularly good as it breaks down each level of Blooms into verbs. Example: creating = programming, filming, animating, blogging, video blogging, etc. Great stuff!

The idea of SIMPLE SCIENCE is to have informative music video presentations for use in the primary school classroom. There are many nations (like Finland) who have national standards but local flexibility. This technologist writes an article supporting Common Core while saying that many don't understand what they contain. Honestly, I see another person who hasn't read some of them. My biggest issue is - who controls the standards and how can they be revised in the future.In a country showing a poor ability to keep politicians from writing standards, by centralizing they become easy target to the whims and sways of the pendulum of politics in the US. That said, I think national standards are likely inevitable.I just hope they put enough different people onto Common Core that group think doesn't send us in a very bad direction. If we have national standards and make it there, they become very important to our future as a country.

Publishing from Google Docs to blogger. So, this is what you could do. The teacher has enabled the link to the blog in the teacher's account settings. Students and many others create a document and then share it with the teacher. After the document is as it needs to be, the teacher can then post to blogger from google docs automatically. This really gives you the best of wikis, blogs, and peer review as well as the ability to look at the revisions and who has contributed. This is something that I'm going to look at doing.
