Did a workshop for Atomic Learning about the 7 Steps to Flatten Your Classroom and they've created an ebook based upon the content in the online workshop. This ebook is free in PDF form and available for download and is based upon the principles to help you get to a Flat Classroom.

Now this site is becoming incredibly useful. Project Gutenberg is taking their free ebooks and aligning with Common Core standards on Share my lesson. If you have ipads and are using Common Core state standards, You'll want to follow this content partner on the share my lesson website to find the lessons that will integrate with these ebooks. You can download the ebooks from the website.

You can find a variety of books online, in many languages and reading levels (mostly Elementary). The titles are searchable just as you would in a library catalogue, and you can enlarge the text.

International Children's Library includes many ebooks that you can download onto your Kindle. The books are organized by grade level and there are over 10,000 of them. (A big hat tip to Peter Fogarty who shared this resource over at the TES forum, a place where I find a ton of great things for my classroom.)

The book includes 9 step-by-step apptivities that focus on each level of Bloom's (some levels have more than one apptivity) To download this free eBook linking apps to levels of Blooms, open your iBooks app on your iPad, then go to the Store within iBooks. Search for: Hot Apps for HOTS.

Student version of Kindle is confirmed for students. Oh so cool. My students really like the idea of a Kindle and I'm wanting to get a hold of one. They will HAVE to make it easier to add all blogs to the information on a Kindle -- I'll want their Google calendar and my class blog to download automatically. It is too hard to add info to the Kindle now unless you publish a book, and then it is easier. Need an ebook of some kind.

In the state of Georgia they have the Georgia Download destination for checking out books. I've got this set up on my library account and can check out books to my kindle, ibooks to my ipad (or kindle app there) or audio books to my overdrive account. I LOVE IT. It is time for schools to have their students take their devices down to their libraries and learn how to check out books all over again.

Free audio book download

Free textbooks in a variety of topics on CK-12. This is promoted as "learning made simple." Do students know how to find and download alternate sources of information? Can they find and search for the topics they are currently studying? This is a valuable way to compare and research topics.
