Keep up with Classroom 2.0 LIve conversations. I actually have this as part of my Google Calendar so I can keep up with it. Classroom 2.0 "LIVE" meetings are an opportunity to gather with other members of the community in real-time events, complete with audio, chat, desktop sharing, and sometimes even video. Esta unidad trata principalmente sobre las tradiciones navideñas en el Reino Unido, y además las compara con las españolas, con lo cual nos puede dar mucho juego en el aula cuando lleguen las fiestas de Navidad. Pero además, trabaja el presente simple, el imperativo, el orden de las palabras en las oraciones y enseña cómo hacer una receta de pavo, practica fechas, instrucciones, escribir un correo electrónico informal, o comprender y dar información personal. Cuenta con un cuaderno del profesor en formato imprimible que incluye claves de respuestas y transcripciones de audios, así como un cuaderno de actividades extra de consolidación también en formato imprimible. No olvides que para visualizar cualquier recurso TIC Malted, debes tener instalados en tu equipo Java y el plugin Malted Web 2.0.

BIBLIOLANCHA En Argentina: Una lancha de 8 m de eslora recorre las islas del Delta del Paraná en el noroeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires. Dotada de un fondo de 2.000 ejemplares, dispone de ordenadores con conexión a Internet y organiza talleres de promoción a la lectura. Es atendida por un "promotor cultural" ayudado por un bibliotecaria y una voluntaria de la zona que se atiende. El inconveniente para poder prestar sus servicio, radica en los elementos climáticos, como en este caso el tema de las crecidas del río.

Excellent discussion about Blogging in the classroom from Rob Kamrowski on the Flat Classroom Ning. Rob says: "The presenter, Konrad Glogowski, an eigth grade writing teacher, discussed his use of blogs as a "third place" for students to express themselves. The first place being students home, the second school, and the third, a sort of place where they are free to creatively express themselves. At the begining of the year, Mr. Glogowski challenged his students to "grow" a blog. He presented them a visual to assist them in planning their creation and, pretty much, allowed them the freedom to make their own product. He watched as the blogs and classroom community grew. Fellow students commented on one another's blog entries, offering advice and building fellow classmates confidence in their writing. Mr. Glogowski's role as teacher evolved into a reader of work and a partner in learning rather than an evaluator and expert of information. By the end of the year, his students had great pride in their work, bonded as a communtiy, and were better, more confident, writers. The likely hood that they would continue to work on their blogs and writing was extremely high. Mr. Glogowski's strategy and his educational philosophy towards blogging was a success." This person did not attend necc, but watched Konrad present via ustream via Will Richardson's blog. Ascyhronous conferences are so important. Can we make it part of conference best practice?
