Registered Nurses are valued members of health care team in varied health care facilities. They work in hospitals, specialty and surgical units, nursing homes, community health centers, clinics, and home health agencies. Many nurses also provide their services in ground transport services, insurance companies, schools, physician's offices, and regional health departments.

Registered nurses provide nursing services and preventive nursing care to patients, families, groups, and communities. They also assign duties to nursing aides, licensed practical nurses, and other healthcare and nurse staffs, and supervise their tasks.
