An open-source technology education movement that partners with educators in schools and learning centers to deliver courses to young people. Aim of this movement is to encourage students to work together as teams to find real issues they care about and learn to build a mobile, web or social app to solve them which makes it good in that it helps learners to be productive.

MoLeNET was a unique collaborative approach to introducing and supporting mobile learning in education and training via supported shared cost mobile learning projects. Collaborative approach is related to my interest. It provided technical and pedagogic advice and support, materials development, continuing professional development, mentoring, facilitation of peer-to-peer support, networking and resource sharing, research and evaluation.

They offer more than 300 Harvard classes in several formats online to deliver convenient Harvard lectures to your computer or mobile device. Most of our distance education courses are offered in our 15-week fall or spring semester.

There is a project of UNESCO and Nokia which conducted in four different countries.

In 2011, Katy Independent School District, in partnership with Cisco, launched the final phase of a technology transformation. The teachers explain how they transformed their vision of instruction by integrating mobile learning strategies.

The presentation mentions the main cornerstones and flow of m-learning in higher education in detail.

The world is online. In 2013, about 1.43 billion people worldwide are active in online communities and social networks compared to 46.6 million people in Germany. In particular, the mobile visits show a rapid growth: In Asia already 60% of the frequently visitors of online communities come from mobile devices, 46% in North-America and about 22% in Europe.

I find this infographic very useful because it shows the pattern of online community use in 2013 very clearly. I am not surprised to see that online communities are facilitated in the North America at most. Thanks Ahsen!

Hocam, though not very familiar with apps, i can claim based on my review this type of apps which enables its users to have acces to various type of info, control, edit and visualise or synthesize it in multiple forms are seen to be quite popular. Of course mobile platforms makes all the process more indivudialised and more self directed, which is one of the goals to be achieved in modern approaches to education. However, more importantly this might provide some insights about where the world is going to. For instance web 3.0 is claimed to use algorithms AI to produce better knowledge. Maybe 'instant' messengers, even Twitter not be 'enough' to meet our needs :) i really can't imagine...

I also liked this project very much. It is also very useful for science education.
