This is a research study carried out in Turkey. To assess pre-service English as a foreign language teachers' technological pedagogical content knowledge, Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge Scale was used and students were asked to answer some open-ended questions. The results of the study revealed a highly developed knowledge of TPACK among undergraduate students of an ELT program at a public university in Turkey. On the basis of the results, it is suggested that the integration of content, pedagogy and technological knowledge into the existing teacher education paradigm and fostering technologically-rich environment for language learners will contribute to quality learning and teaching.

Investing heavily in school computers and classroom technology does not improve pupils' performance, says a global study from the OECD. The think tank says frequent use of computers in schools is more likely to be associated with lower results. The OECD's education director Andreas Schleicher says school technology had raised "too many false hopes".

I think the report does not show that technology is useless, but shows that we still need enourmous work on learning and teaching effective use of it. An article by Rob Klindt. Online teacher communities offer one of the best ways for new and veteran educators to keep up with industry trends. These communities encourage teachers to collaborate and share resources with colleagues, discuss teaching strategies and connect with experts in the education field.

We were just notified that our project is going to be supported by TUBITAK. The project aims to develop science and technology teachers' TPACK through various activities. Please invite your friends who are science and technology teachers to apply for this workshop which will be held in Aksaray this summer.

This paper is written to help in-service English teachers in terms of integrating Computer-Assisted Language Learning into their classrooms. It basically explains the principles and significance of TPACK and offers a workshop in which all these are told for English teachers. It proposes the steps of "modeling, analysis, demonstration, application, and reflection" in order to utilize instructional technologies according to learner and teacher needs.

It is interesting to notice that this research study has also similar findings in terms of the problems and weaknesses in FATIH Project. It was conducted with information technologies guide teachers and it reached similar results as the lack of training for both teachers and students, and the lack of required materials to be used by both teachers and students.

I could not tweet because of the problems in my Twitter account; that is why, I would like to share the resources I have found here. :) This research study aims to learn about classroom teachers point of views about FATIH Project. Half of the teachers think that the project will be a failure because of technical problems of tablets, lack of teacher's technological competency and the training of teachers. However, they think that the project may help students in terms of not carrying heavy bags and providing a better, tehcnology-enriched learning atmosphere.

This site seems nice to use as well. Using this code, your students log in to your class network. Here, they can answer questions, collaborate on problems, and even embed pictures and videos. As a teacher you have full control over the network. You can even add other teachers!"

Check the 10 signs and see how tech-savvy you are as a teacher :) It is good to see that looking for conferences to attend for summer holidays is not a sign of being a 'workaholic' but a 'tech-savvy teacher'

"Delivering Performance Feedback to Teachers" is an interactive and conversation-based training simulation that lets principals practice giving feedback to virtual teacher (avatars). I think the game is beyond helpful due to the fact as school leaders, it's hard to give a neutral feedback to the teachers from time to time, which may deter the leaders from giving it at all.
