I could not reach my tweets under our hashtag on Twitter. :( Therefore, I wanted to share two sources for this week's discussion about mobile learning. This one is a research study for pre-service math teachers who utilize mobile learning through IPADs. It has quite promising and positive results!

Today's children were born and raised in a world of digital convenience. Apple has long realized the potential of the pre-teen set and has targeted them with iPads, learning apps, smart devices, and other mobile tech to meet their educational and developmental needs. It gives information about the usage of kids mobile devices in USA, the percentage of using mobile tech in education and its result in USA again. It is very interesting and surprisin when you look at the statistics...

This infographic presents 5 benefits of using technology in teacher education. One of the benefits that I found interesting was "technology reduces weight". I agree with this benefit a lot. Since I am a commuter as a doctoral student, I feel this benefit deeply. I used to carry huge handbooks and articles for a single presentation or a class reading. I now carry my iPad and use my cloud account on my tech tools, and read everywhere. I feel more comfortable and mobile now with the reduced weight and the less paper.
