We were just notified that our project is going to be supported by TUBITAK. The project aims to develop science and technology teachers' TPACK through various activities. Please invite your friends who are science and technology teachers to apply for this workshop which will be held in Aksaray this summer.

There is TPACK standards for each of the course. As a mathematics teacher I found this and I want to share this with you. From the link, one can also downlad the pdf version. Niess, M. L., Ronau, R. This infographic is to show some dynamics that make a shift to technology in education necessary. Examples given in it present the alterative power the internet has. And, the personalized learning is one of the most important advantages of technology use as an alternative to "one-size-fits-all" models as discussed in readings, which is emphasized in this infographic too.

I guess, depending on the case, the answer is both. As presented in the infographic, there are situations -for example where people can not reach schools as a result of various reasons- that make online tools a good alternative for the schools. I believe that "alternative" is a keyword for this discussion and presenting people different choices is a good approach for me. There are ideas emphasizing that "technology will not replace teachers but teachers who do not use technology will be replaced" which can be agreed upon; yet, there are others too. For example, can we ignore the ideas of progressivists if they aim to use technology to create the ideal conditions that can not be realized in institutionalized schools for the education they think the most proper?

Of course, we cannot ignore "use of technology" to create ideal conditions for today's education settings. Then, it can be said use effectively and benefited from it or them.

It is interesting to notice that this research study has also similar findings in terms of the problems and weaknesses in FATIH Project. It was conducted with information technologies guide teachers and it reached similar results as the lack of training for both teachers and students, and the lack of required materials to be used by both teachers and students.

"Forget devices, the future of education technology is all about the cloud and anywhere access. In the future, teaching and learning is going to be social", says Matt Britland... "iPads and other mobile technology are the 'now'. Although, they will play a part in the future, four years ago the iPad didn't even exist. We don't know what will be the current technology in another four. Perhaps it will be wearable devices such as Google Glass..."

This infographic foresee the future of education technology. It was prepared on 2012. It states that today technology is fixed and centralized either in a computer lab or within the classroom. The technology use in education take place in three environments. In classrooms education is teacher-centered. Regarding studios, they give the opportunity of peer to peer interaction in which teachers are facilitators. And virtual environments facilitate learning regardless of physical space

For researchers, digital teaching portfolios that include newer, multimedia technologies provide largely unexplored possibilities to measure teachers' understanding and use of technology.

This is an interesting website that includes information about top 25 universities' onlive teacher education course.

This paper is written to help in-service English teachers in terms of integrating Computer-Assisted Language Learning into their classrooms. It basically explains the principles and significance of TPACK and offers a workshop in which all these are told for English teachers. It proposes the steps of "modeling, analysis, demonstration, application, and reflection" in order to utilize instructional technologies according to learner and teacher needs.

I could not tweet because of the problems in my Twitter account; that is why, I would like to share the resources I have found here. :) This research study aims to learn about classroom teachers point of views about FATIH Project. Half of the teachers think that the project will be a failure because of technical problems of tablets, lack of teacher's technological competency and the training of teachers. However, they think that the project may help students in terms of not carrying heavy bags and providing a better, tehcnology-enriched learning atmosphere.
