As per news reports, Telefonica, the telecommunications giant, will soon grant access to its blockchain to 8,000 firms in Spain, through its partnership with the local Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE). As per a report published by TotalTele, the telecom news outlet, Telefonica will be deploying Hyperledger-based blockchain nodes at APTE's 52 sites.

The demo, which is an extended version of the previously released video, highlights numerous effects including snow, lighting, grids, and other ways in which IllumiRoom changes the user's playing space. Reports continue to suggest that Microsoft is likely to implement the concept into its next Xbox design, although no official confirmation has been granted just yet.

Murally's tagline is: "Google Docs for visual people."  Being highly visual, that description immediately resonates with me!  Murally reminds me a little bit of Wallwisher (now Padlet), it is a way for learners to come together to think, imagine and discuss their ideas.  With Murally, students can create murals and include any content they want in them.  Learners can drag and drop images, video, etc. from any website (or from their computer) onto their mural.   Learners can create presentations from within a mural they have already created.  The best part: this all happens with the ability to collaborate with others.  Murally makes it easy for students to collect, think, imagine, show and discuss learning.  Murals can be made public (shared live with a link) or private (only friends granted permission can access the mural).

The Buck Institute for Education (BIE) received a generous grant from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation to help promote and provide deeper learning opportunities for teachers and students.  Recognizing that 11,000 teachers will participate in BIE's 3-day PBL 101 workshop in 2012, the Hewlett Foundation helped BIE expand its professional development resources and expertise online.  Now BIE can work with every school and every teacher through PBL University (PBLU).

Like Copernicus, I propose that for the sake of better results we need to turn conventional wisdom on it is head:  let's see what results if we think of action, not knowledge, as the essence of an education; let's see what results from thinking of future ability, not knowledge of the past, as the core; let's see what follows, therefore, from thinking of content knowledge as neither the aim of curriculum nor the key building blocks of it but as the offshoot of learning to do things now and for the future.
