Among companies with altruistic streaks, Patagonia has long stood out for the environmental philanthropy championed by founder Yvon Chouinard. The maker of outdoor clothing and gear has redirected a portion of profits to green causes since 1986 and discloses the chemicals it uses in its products.
This exciting documentary tracks adventurous mountain climber Jeff Johnson, who follows the 1968 route of his personal heroes Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins (the Fonders of Patagonia ) to Patagonia, getting shipwrecked on Easter Island, surfing an epic wave, and making a rare ascent of Cerro Corcovado until he finally meets the environmental and business icons he's seeking.
