Energy Net on 15 Jun 09Massachusetts is searching for every blustery nook and cranny it can find to boost wind energy production, from the tops of former dumps to a vast military reservation. Gov. Deval Patrick has set a state goal of generating 2,000 megawatts of wind power by the year 2020 - an effort that may require up to 3,000 wind turbines. So far, the state boasts a mere 11 commercial-scale turbines and dozens of smaller ones.
