CNN reports that Obama is planning an economic stimulus package based on energy efficient buildings and improved internet access - Obama outlines initiative to create 2.5 million jobs. President-elect Barack Obama on Saturday outlined some of his plan to create 2.5 million jobs by 2011, and said he will push for immediate action by Congress when he takes office in January. Obama wants to make public buildings more energy-efficient, repair roads and bridges, modernize schools, increase broadband access and ensure that health care professionals have access to the latest technology. "Our government now pays the highest energy bill in the world," he said in the weekly Democratic radio address.

President Obama today announced over $467 million from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act to expand and accelerate the development, deployment, and use of geothermal and solar energy throughout the United States. The funding announced today represents a substantial down payment that will help the solar and geothermal industries overcome technical barriers, demonstrate new technologies, and provide support for clean energy jobs for years to come. Today's announcement supports the Obama Administration's strategy to increase American economic competiveness, while supporting jobs and moving toward a clean energy economy. "We have a choice. We can remain the world's leading importer of oil, or we can become the world's leading exporter of clean energy," said President Obama. "We can hand over the jobs of the future to our competitors, or we can confront what they have already recognized as the great opportunity of our time: the nation that leads the world in creating new sources of clean energy will be the nation that leads the 21st century global economy. That's the nation I want America to be."

OBAMA HAS SUBMITTED THREE BUDGETS. NONE MADE IT THROUGH THE DEMOCRAT CONTROLED SENATE. HIS LAST BUDGET GOT TURNED DOWN IN THE HOUSE IN A BIPARTISAN WAY. THE VOTE WAS 414-0. AND OBAMA HAS THE AUDASITY TO CRITICIZE PAUL RYAND BUDGET? BTW PAUL RYANS DEGREE IS IN ECONOMICS.

I KNEW OBAMA WAS LIEING...HIS LIPS WERE MOVING. JUST LAST WEEK HE TOLD THE AMERICAN PUBLIC THAT HE WAS DOING EVERYTHING HE COULD TO INCREASE OIL PRODUCTION. THAT WAS A LIE. HE TRIED TO TAKE CREDIT FOR THE PART OF THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE THAT WOULD BE FINISHED. HE TRIED TO KILL THAT TOO AND HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ITS COMPLETITION. IT WAS STARTED BEFORE HE GOT IN OFFICE. HE ALSO TOOK CREDIT FOR INCREASED OIL PRODUCTION, HE LIES. HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH INCREASED OIL PRODUCTION
