Students often expect their teacher to correct their written errors, but students can also learn a lot from looking for and correcting errors in written work. This activity gives you the chance to test your correction skills and find errors in short texts using a site called BookOven and a tool called SpellChecker

I'm never really sure what the value of being able to read quickly is and whether this effects the amount of information you actually retain when you read, but I do know that getting EFL and ESL students to read in chunks and getting them to read as much as possible can be very beneficial to their language development.

The big news from coming from Google today was the release of Google Sidewiki. Sidewiki allows you to comment, annotate, and edit any webpage.

This 20 minutes, 6 page play is $1 to purchase and get the rights to perform. "How Jackie Changed the World" about Jackie Robinson. Would be great for Martin Luther King Day or black history month. Ages 7-14 with enough parts for 8-13 actors.
