In addition, the 40 recipients will be treated to an exciting online professional development program designed to help them reach their school’s specific green initiatives, including a free digital camera to document and share the experience!
The LIVE GREEN Teacher Grant program challenges middle school teachers to develop innovative ideas for furthering environmental and energy sustainability. Teachers will identify an issue or problem, create a plan to address it, and integrate the topic into classroom teaching. via eschool news

What these kids made, the photos on this site..truely one of the best pieces of work I've seen...if you go into the material you get to "PORTRAITS'they painted in anticipation and prep for the project. It blows me away.

Along with that, I'm doing my part by conserving energy and water, recycling, and using more "earth friendly" products...
A Mozambican musician who campaigns for clean water and sanitation has been awarded a top environmental prize, described as the Nobel Prize of grassroots environmentalism. Modestly, Santos said the $150,000 (£75,000) prize money would not change his life but it would help focus attention on what was happening on the ground in Mozambique and Africa. "It shows that even if you live in poor places, such as Niassa, you can have an influence on the world. "Let's not talk about the money, let's do things that can change the world.
