The Khan Academy is an organization on a mission. They area a not-for-profit with the goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education for anyone anywhere. All of the site's resources are available to anyone. It doesn't matter if you are a student, teacher, home-schooler, principal, adult returning to the classroom after 20 years, or a friendly alien just trying to get a leg up in earthly biology. The Khan Academy's materials and resources are available to you completely free of charge. I teach Title I students in K-12. With that many grades, I am always looking for resources that can help to enhance my reading and math lessons. I found that the presentations are easy to understand and it also exposes my urban students to working online.

Wordle - Beautiful Word Clouds - 13 views

I use Wordle to create "word clouds" when teaching vocabulary, especially to middle and high school students. I am able to create my own text or use text from our reading to enhance the vocabulary lesson. Students then create their own Wordles. Very interactive!
