Podcasting simplified? I learned about this tool to make podcast and hosting an easy process. Look forward to trying it out. Easy and hosting are the operative words here. If the process is simple and there is a ready place for hosting your podcast, then that's all you need to make it happen.

Emerging Technologies PSE - 3 views

It really doesn't seem all that long ago that Powerpoint was THE new, cool thing to use in teaching. These days it seems that 80% of the time a teacher starts to use it the students get glazed over eyes. It is often too easy for us as teachers to take on a new technology but never develop the skill beyond the basics. Could this be the future of online learning as well?!? It's just too hard to keep up with all the new stuff! But instead of using that as an excuse to never try new things, we should regularly see what is available and incorporate one or two new things at a time. ESPECIALLY if we are going to be effective online teachers. This PSE allows the user to search for lists, explanations, and tutorials of current and up-and-coming technologies on the online-learning scene.

Great list of web 2.0 resources--I couldn't choose just one. Although the site is set for language learning (especially ELL) there could definitely be use for traditional students--especially reading teachers testing for reading fluency.

How I create and publish podcasts » Moving at the Speed of Creativity - 4 views

  • Jason Kern recently asked me to share information about how I create and publish podcasts here on "Moving at the Speed of Creativity," and rather than send that info to just him I thought I'd create a post to share these links and procedures. Since I've developed these procedures over time it's entirely possible there are much better ways to do this, so if you have suggestions and input on alternative podcasting possibilities I'd love to hear it.
