Google Docs is an on-line tool that shows how open source software works. You get free word processing, drawing, spreadsheet, and presentation software to use on-line. You can collaborate with others on projects.
While editing a document, you can invite other people to work on it with you. Windows or Mac, Firefox or Explorer, Docs and Spreadsheets has everything you'd expect in a word processor and spreadsheet program. Throw in the ability to import and export in a variety of formats, including Office.
