PhotoPeach - Photopeach for Education - 2 views

  • The combination of images, music, and text helps students learn about presentation, expression, writing, communication skills, art appreciation, and media literacy. The quality of the finished work is great and students will remember it forever. Start creating fun slideshows with captions, soundtracks, quizzes, and easy editing controls!
  •
Combines photos, music and text into a slideshow. Good tool to help visualize concepts and more.
  •
A good tool for instructors or students to teach "how-to" information or informing others about just about any topic, and students can review information wiith added quizzes. Only downside is you have to pay for Photo Peach Classroom Premium to get many of the desired applications like creating multiple student accounts and only the educator being able to delete/change presentations.
  •
I especially like the quiz feature of this presentation tool. Ease of use and feature richness are what I value in a presentation application.

Education Week: At-Risk Students Face E-Learning Challenges - 3 views

  • Stepping into a virtual learning environment can help struggling students interact with curricula in a new way, begin learning with a clean slate, and provide more flexibility to accommodate work or family obligations, say educators and experts working online with students who are at risk of academic failure. But none of those factors will make such students successful unless they have the support and resources they need to engage with the material and the motivation to work hard for their credits, experts stress.
