C´est un écrivain français. Il est principalement connu pour sa trilogie des Fourmis. Son œuvre, traduite dans une trentaine de langues, fait se rencontrer philosophie, spiritualité, science-fiction, polar, biologie, mythologie, etc. L'auteur qualifie parfois son style de « philosophie-fiction »1.

TEDxDeakinUniversity (Melbourne) invited Bruce Sterling as a speaker. The theme of his talk was Alien Aesthetics. He's American science fiction author who is best known for his novels and his work on the Mirrorshades anthology. This work helped to define the cyberpunk genre.

Jacques Fabrice Vallée, né à Pontoise (Val d'Oise) le 24 septembre 1939, est un informaticien, astronome, ufologue, et romancier français. Il vit dans la région de San Francisco. C'est en 1961 que son premier roman de science-fiction, Le Sub-espace, est publié par Georges H. Gallet, directeur du « Rayon fantastique ». Avec ce roman, Vallée remporte le prix Jules-Verne sous le pseudonyme de Jérôme Sériel. En 1976, il fonde InfoMedia, première entreprise spécialisée dans la téléconférence et le groupware1. Il découvre l'intelligence artificielle et rejoint le projet Blue Book. S'intéressant de plus en plus aux ovnis, il propose en 1966 un système de classification des observations d'ovnis, qui sera suivi d'un second en 1990.
