"This paper describes the way in which series of undergraduate units have been implemented on-line, using the internet as a means for reaching distance students pursuing postgraduate studies in Cartography and GIScience. It presents the way in which learning resources have been designed and implemented in a Web-based environment where the students can access the unit's study plan, on-line tutorials, hold discussion forums, consult study resources and complete quizzes that enable to monitor their progress within the unit."
This site is designed to help instructors and students locate and use some of the numerous health-related tools and databases that can be found on the web. Instructors and students will also find a series of step-by-step instructions for using the tools and databases. Finally, we provide case studies of several neighborhoods using health-related tools and databases to elucidate the environmental risk in those locales.
This web site is maintained as a portal for information on all activities of the Satellite Navigation and Positioning Laboratory. The website contains backgrounders to GPS, links to media, books & software, company websites, institutions and organizations. It also has information on mapping, GIS, and dozens of related links.
