Counteracting Negative Self-Talk with Supportive Statements - 1 views

  •
How we talk to ourselves affects everything. It influences everything from how we feel about ourselves to the decisions we make. Negative self-talk can sabotage and undermine our efforts in any part of our lives. For instance, if you keep telling yourself you're unworthy or incapable - "I can't do this! Knowing this, here's a basic how to that can help you get on your feet.

TED talk on Eyewitness - 1 views

  •
This is a very good Ted Talk that can be shown introducing the topic of Memories in CLOA. Her talk covers both her studies Loftus and Palmer's (1974) study of eyewitness testimony and the more recent one The formation of False Memories. She also talks about the challenges associated with conducting studies
  •
It just a great ted talk on eyewitness memory by Elizabeth Loftus. It is especially helpful when teaching eyewitness memory in CLOA and it also tap into ethical issues that can stimulate students to think critically.
