Good site to use as a jumping point for a discussion or debate regarding ethics in psychology.

As the name suggests, it simplifies the study of the human brain. Most of the heavy handed jargon that I had to slog through in uni is absent. Seeing as most of my students are not from English speaking countries, this is a great tool to help them understand the basic functions of the brain in an expedient fashion The idea behind this website is that if explained simply enough, anyone can comprehend the complex mechanism that is our brain.

Wow, this is a great site and one I will definitely share with my students in our biology section. Thanks!

Some lesson plans for teaching ethics in a Psychology classroom

The topic of teaching ethics is a great one--I just recently held a debate in my class about the ethics of animal testing. The students were so engaged in the topic and finding research. It was quite a success! I would love to use some of the ideas presented here as well..

Psych Central is a great site! It has support groups, blogs, quizzes, articles--a great resource for students exploring various issues related to mental health.
