This is a very interesting article about stereotypes, specifically in Latin America. This can not only help me and other Latin American teachers but also to others from different nationalities and cultures, so they can use this as a comparison to their own and help the students develop a broad vision of this topic.

On page 4 of this article there are some good examples of counteracting extraneous variables and really understanding biases. I think articles that summarize experiments like this are good for students to understand the importance of all the little details that could potentially confound their results on the IA.

Ethics are very important when carrying out any type of psychological research. Before we can begin any research method it is vital that we stick to an ethical code of practice, as we will be dealing with people. Ethics refers to the correct rules of conduct necessary when carrying out research.

Classics in the History of Psychology is an effort to make the full texts of a large number of historically significant public domain documents from the scholarly literature of psychology and allied disciplines available on the World Wide Web. There are now over 25 books and about 200 articles and chapters on-line. The site also contains links to over 200 relevant works posted at other sites.

An international group of neuroscientists has sliced, imaged and analysed the brain of a 65-year-old woman to create the most detailed map yet of a human brain in its entirety (see video at bottom). The atlas, called 'BigBrain', shows the organization of neurons with microscopic precision, which could help to clarify or even redefine the structure of brain regions obtained from decades-old anatomical studies.

This is my all time favorite for ethics and experiments. We saw the whole movie. I think it is very valuable since it is made with the actual kid who suffered the impact of unethical experimentation, lack of parent will power, and a scientific context that thought new it all.

Psych Central is the Internet's largest and oldest independent mental health social network.. It has a directory of online mental health resources and lists of symptoms for mental disorders published online.

Ethical considerations on Research (and publication) according to the APA. It is very clear and well structured. 

Used this in class when we were looking at obedience but it could also be very useful when looking at and discussing ethics in psychology.

I also use the Milgram study when looking at ethics - it forms a good debate about the trade off between ethics and the amount we have learnt from the study. Some of the classic case studies are good also - Genie Wiley etc.

An article that supports introversion as a positive trait.

I used this one (also from the OCC) for brain functions. Students loved it so much that gave me the idea to make a 3 d model themselves! Now my class room is full of brains in all kinds of materials. It was fun.
