One way tumors fly under the radar of the immune system is by using IDO, an enzyme used by fetuses to help avoid rejection, to recruit powerful regulatory T cells that turn down the immune response, researchers say.

A single dose of vitamin D enhances immunity to mycobacteria.
Am J Respir Crit Care Med. 2007
Sixty five years ago medical scientists promised us that infections caused by bacteria and others would be a thing of the past due to the new discovery of patented pharmaceutical drugs. This very brave statement was made and almost automatically more than half of the herbs recommended in the U.S.

The flu is a disease, accompanied mankind for centuries, but it remains a serious medical and social problem in our days. The flu can be manifested in the form of pandemics, epidemics, local outbreaks and isolated cases. Worst flu epidemics caused by type A influenza virus. The flu epidemics occur almost every year. The main factors that determine the risk of disease are: level then its predecessor specific immunity and age of infected them - the final ages are extremely susceptible to infection. Complications of influenza are mainly from the lungs, and less of the nervous system. They are more common in patients of advanced age.
Cancer Treatment Centers New Delhi, India - Cancer-healer, a cancer therapy based on immune system invented by world renowned Homeopathic physician Dr. Hari Krishna, has successfully treated almost 3200 patients in last few years.
Low levels of vitamin D may raise a person's risk of premature death, a study by Johns Hopkins researchers shows.
The research followed other recent studies showing low levels of vitamin D are linked to certain cancers, diabetes, and bone and immune system problems, but this is the first research to connect vitamin D deficiency to a higher risk of death

EPIDEMICS' TIMING DETERMINED BY LATITUDEGoing back to 1945, Hope-Simpson discovered that influenza epidemics above 30 degrees latitude in both hemispheres occurred during the six months of least solar radiation and that outbreaks in the tropics almost always occured during the rainy season. He thus concluded, "Latitude alone broadly determines the timing of the epidemics in the annual cycle, a relationship that suggests a rather direct effect of some component of solar radiation acting positively or negatively upon the virus, the human host, or their interaction." That is, something may be regularly reducing our immunity every fall and winter. In 2003 researchers confirmed that influenza epidemics in the tropics occur, with few exceptions, during the rainy season, when vitamin D levels should be falling
